New Appartment

It was a sunny morning when I moved into my new apartment. I had just started a new job in the city, and everything felt fresh and exciting. My apartment was small, but it was cozy, and I was happy to have my own space.

One day, I met my neighbor. Her name was Sarah, and she lived in the apartment next to mine. She was friendly and welcoming. We would often chat in the hallway or share a cup of coffee. I liked her a lot. She was kind and easy to talk to.

But one day, something strange happened. I came home from work, and Sarah’s door was wide open. I knocked, but no one answered. I thought maybe she was just out, but when I checked the next day, she was still gone. Her door was still open, but there was no sign of her anywhere.

I started to worry. Sarah had always been there when I needed someone to talk to. I asked some of the other neighbors if they had seen her, but no one knew where she had gone. It was like she had vanished.

I decided to look for answers. I went to her apartment and knocked again, but still no answer. I noticed something strange—her things were still inside. Her clothes were hanging in the closet, and her books were on the shelf. It was like she had just disappeared without a trace.

I began to ask around the building, but no one seemed to know much about Sarah. They all said she had only lived there for a short time, and no one knew where she came from. The more I asked, the more mysterious it all became. No one seemed to know anything about her past.

One evening, I found a letter under my door. It was addressed to me, but it was from Sarah. The letter was short and simple:

"I’m sorry I had to leave so suddenly. Please don’t try to find me. There are things in my past that I can’t share. It’s safer for you if you forget about me."

I felt confused and scared. What was Sarah hiding? Why did she disappear so suddenly? I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I decided to search through her apartment to find any clues.

As I looked through her things, I found an old photo album hidden in the back of a drawer. The photos were from a different time and place. In the pictures, Sarah looked much younger, and there were people in the photos I didn’t recognize. There were also strange symbols and notes written in the margins of some pictures. It looked like Sarah had been involved in something mysterious, something she hadn’t told anyone about.

The more I looked, the more I realized that Sarah wasn’t just a normal neighbor. She had been hiding something big, and it seemed like she had run away from it.

A few days later, I received another letter. This time, it was from a man. He warned me to stop asking questions about Sarah and to leave her alone. The letter said that Sarah was in danger, and if I kept searching for her, I might get hurt too.

I was scared, but I couldn’t stop. I had to know the truth. I kept looking into Sarah’s past, and soon, I found out something shocking. She had been involved with some dangerous people, and they were looking for her. She had tried to escape from them, but they wouldn’t stop until they found her.

The mystery was much deeper than just a missing neighbor. It was about secrets, danger, and people from Sarah’s past who wanted to keep everything hidden.

I never saw Sarah again after that. But I learned that sometimes, the people around us are hiding things we don’t understand. And sometimes, it’s better not to ask too many questions.
